The staff at ConspiracyCafe.com has been working on this investigation since June, 2003.
We have uncovered some very unusual happenings right here in our hometown of Wise County. Two investigators with two very different points of view on this investigation.
Ericca Cordier - veteran paranormal researcher.
"I have seen many strange things in my life and have found that
sometimes the TRUTH is stranger than fiction."
Dry Bean - former Army Special Ops.
"I won't say I don't believe in the Mothman; I've just not seen it with my own eyes.
I also do not believe that anything unusual happened to the cattle"
The staff at ConspiracyCafe.com has compiled an enormous amount of data that cannot possibly be disseminated over the internet. Keep watching this site for the upcoming book.

More Deaths
On January 14, 2004 I spotted this calf in a field just a mile from where the original fireball event happened. The calf was motionless and I thought the animal to be deceased. I was very surprised when it lifted it's head upon my approach. I was even more surprised to see what was etched into the side of the animal. The word 'DIE'. All Mothman theories aside; who would do this to some defenseless animal?
Attempts to locate the owner were fruitless.
Cursory analysis of this photo by Dry Bean puzzled him. He first believed that this was 'spray paint'. Some prank by kids. What is the cow dying of ? Once again Dry Bean believes this animal is not dying of anything mysterious just some 'bad weed'. Meaning that this animal ingested weeds growing in the pasture that are poisonous.
We needed to rule out that the word was not heat branded, freeze branded, cut, or painted. But time was not on our side and a few days passed before we could once again look at this mysterious cow.
A few hours later a Bridgeport man became the fourth auto fatality of the year. The Hispanic driver could not be immediately identified as he had no identification on him. DPS later identified him as Francisco Amaya.
While attempting to pass another pickup at approx. 10:30pm that evening Francisco Amaya struck it and flipped his truck into the ditch. Mr. Amaya was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
January 15, 2004 in the early morning a man was found wandering along the same road with an injury. He had been walking on foot all night after being in the same accident. Volunteer Firemen on the scene reported that the man refused medical assistance after several attempts to communicate with him in Spanish.
Okay; so what about the cow?
Photo to the left indicates position of cow in relation to accident. Is this a coincidence?
By now we are pretty curious about this cow. Photos taken a few days after the accident show the word to be the same. Cursory analysis of photo by Dry Bean have led him to believe that it was some sort of acid. Lab analysis is not available to confirm this.
Cattle mutilation is believed to be caused by buzzards or coyotes. These are hauntingly familiar of cattle mutilations that were happening in the seventies.
What's really going to shock you is that a similar fatality accident and similar dead cow happened at the same time just up the road a few miles. (more on this later this week)
More Infections
Do you feel like your job is killing you? Please, we invite you to join us. Since our previous articles five more people working closely with us in this area have come down with staph infections. We don't know why; we don't know how; it is just happening. After working on these dead cattle stories; both Dry Bean and I were ill for several days with upper respiratory infections that did not seem to be contagious to family or friends.
Is The Mothman Causing These Deaths?
Many people have written and called asking us if the 'Mothman' is killing people and cows in the Wise County area. We certainly do not believe this to be true. One of the best explanations surrounding the 'Mothman' phenomenon was made by Lyn Buchanan http://www.crviewer.com
"The recent question about events surrounding the 'Mothman' phenomenon seem to center around group PK and how things begin to happen when or after there is a Mothman sighting. The general feeling is that the Mothman may be causing such widespread group PK events. There is, however; another possibility, and that is one which should be considered before any conjectures get firmly entrenched."
"First of all, there are a lot of people who totally dismiss any possibility of group PK, or even of PK, in any other form. They admit that something has happened, but tend to label it as 'group hysteria' or 'group hypnosis', or whatever other terminology most comfortably fits their belief systems. No matter how it is described, though, it still comes down to a group of people with coherently matching mind sets, or a coherent group emotional field. Such group thinking and feeling can be caused by the spreading of panic caused by rumor or even true stories. There are many possible causes. The question comes, though, as to whether many minds thinking alike can actually cause a change in the physical world around them. Let us suppose, for just a moment, that it is possible....that there is such a thing as group psychokinesis (PK). If that were possible, such a force would probably be much stronger than the PK effects of a single person - or of a single animal. That is where the 'Mothman' story becomes pertinent to the question."
There are many records of animals who are sensitive to human thought and/or emotions. There are no records that I know of where animals have evidenced PK effects. In the case of the 'Mothman', then, one should first ask the question as to whether the 'Mothman' is causing PK effects, or whether it is simply sensitive to group thought, and attracted by it. In such cases, the appearance of the 'Mothman' before situations of human disaster might be a result, not a cause. A general awareness of impending disaster within the human community may attract the 'Mothman' to the area previous to the actualization of the human awareness into physical fact."
"Whether you believe in PK, in group PK, or in group awareness of impending events, there are enough records of animals which are so sensitive to human emotions that they are attracted to them, that this possibility must be taken into consideration in the 'Mothman' phenomenon. Such a consideration would place the first question squarely into the realm of research into the abilities and habits of a previously unrecorded animal. The findings of that research would provide the springboard for viable research into the possibility of human thought and emotions joining to create more force, and the possibility of group PK."
